OV Requirements

Students are required to take Global Studies and a foreign language. Students may use their Community Action hours towards credits at Orchard View or the Santa Rosa Junior College. 

Students complete forty hours of service, per year, focused on helping improve conditions in their community. Action opportunities are based on the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals.

Though not a requirement, interested students may have the option of participating in service projects and short-term international homestays or hosting opportunities. Global Studies students also do a number of international projects with schools.
